Muziekschool Vrhnika is een openbare muziekschool, opgericht in 1976. Sinds de oprichting is het aantal leerlingen gegroeid van 155 naar 477. In de 35 jaar van zijn bestaan is de aanvankelijk bescheiden muziekschool uitgegroeid tot een moderne en hooggewaardeerde school met hoge kwaliteit apparatuur, een goed systeem en een winnende combinatie van ervaren en jonge ambitieuse docenten. Het bewijs van hun muzikale inzet en professionalisme zijn de vele briljante jonge musici, die een groot deel van hun vrije tijd aan activiteiten op de muziekschool besteden. Hun succes heeft de muziekschool van Vrhnika uit de anonimiteit opgeheven tot een organisatie met een belangrijke rol in cultuur en onderwijs, die tot ver buiten de eigen regio reikt.
Vrhnika Music School is a public music school, founded back in 1976. It is located in the town Vrhnika, where one of the most important Slovenian writers Ivan Cankar was born. From establishment to this day the number of participants grew from 155 to 477. Gradually in its 35 years Music school of Vrhnika transformed from a school with modest conditions to a modern and appreciated school with high quality equipment, a good system and with a winning combination of experienced and young ambitious workers. Their musical engagement and professionalism result in brilliant young musicians, who devote most of their free time to experience all the activity music school offers them. Their success brought Vrhnika Music School from anonymity to its important cultural and educational role far outside its region.
