Music School of Vrhnika is a public music school founded back in 1976. It is located in town of Vrhnika, where one of the most important Slovenian writers Ivan Cankar was born. From establishment to this day the number of participants grew from 155 to 477. Gradually in its 35 years Music School of Vrhnika transformed from a school with modest conditions to a modern and appreciated school with high quality equipment, a good system and with a winning combination of experienced and young ambitious workers. Their musical engagement and professionalism result in brilliant young musicians, who devote most of their free time to experience all the activity the music school offers them. Their success brought Music School of Vrhnika from anonymity to its important cultural and educations role far outside its region.
